Foster Family Frequently Asked Questions

a. With Love is here to serve licensed foster/resource families caring for children ages 0-6 who are in foster care through the Oregon Department of Human Services Child Welfare, or Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families. You must provide your certifier’s contact information at the time of your request.

b. For those working outside of the foster care system, we suggest looking into Oregon Kinship Navigator and EveryChild to get connected with resources for your situation.

a. Please wait until the child is placed in your home before filling out the request form. This helps us avoid extra steps if plans change and ensures we provide items that best fit the child’s unique preferences, needs, sizes, and interests.

b. If you’re caring for an infant in the NICU/PICU or have an urgent relative placement, please email support@withloveoregon.org so we can assist.

No. Our trained volunteers will shop our facility to find the items you have requested. We want to save you the time and energy it takes to pull everything together. We’ll do our best to find just the right items in our warehouse of donated goods.

With Love’s services are set up to provide a comprehensive selection of gifts for the child in your care: basic care items, toys, books, shoes, gear, and clothing. Parents are able to request items every 90 days, so please combine your single item needs into a larger request so our volunteers can work most efficiently to serve as many families as possible!

If you’re a licensed resource family in SW Washington and can promptly pick up your items from With Love once they’re ready – yes!

With Love simply asks items provided to your family remain free to whomever they go to next! We’re so grateful to families who donate items back into our inventory (when still like-new!) to be distributed to another foster family; but we love when items can transition with children.

With Love serves children up until their 7th birthday! 6-year-olds are absolutely welcome to continue receiving items and attending our events!

If your child’s case has transitioned to adoption from the foster care system, you are eligible to receive our services.

a. With Love’s events are for families with children within our mission scope – children ages 0-6 in foster care or who have been adopted from the foster care system. You are welcome to unsubscribe if you would like to be removed from our emailing list.

Yes! If you are a licensed foster parent with an infant in your home who has an open case OR if the teen parent has an open child welfare case with ODHS and is residing in a foster home, the baby qualifies for our services! The request must be submitted by the foster parent.
