With Love began as a dream, taking root in the heart of our founder and blossoming in her home. In just six months, we supported 20 families, proving the immense need for tangible resources and community care. Officially incorporated by the state, With Love gained momentum with our first pop-up 'Shopportunity' at Foster Parents Night Out (FPNO), offering foster families a chance to gather essentials with dignity. That same year, we launched our Season of Giving, a holiday drive that brought joy and much-needed support to families during the most challenging times of the year. From humble beginnings, With Love was born to make an impact.
With Love’s mission gained momentum as we officially received 501(c)(3) status, paving the way for even greater impact. Volunteers began pouring in, bringing passion and energy to our growing work. We moved into a 1,500-square-foot facility, which quickly became a bustling hub of activity, filled with volunteers preparing essentials for foster families. That same year, we launched our New Placement Bags to meet immediate needs and introduced our website, opening the door to even more community engagement and support.
With Love marked a major milestone with our first annual benefit event, which provided critical funding to support the operations of our growing nonprofit. We moved into a new 3,000-square-foot facility, later expanding into a third and fourth bay, totaling 6,000 square feet to meet the increasing demand. The purchase of our With Love van not only streamlined deliveries to foster families but also solidified partnerships by enabling us to pick up essential items from generous corporate partners. With 400 dedicated volunteers serving yearly and foster family events continuing to grow, we created even more opportunities for connection and support.
The pandemic challenged us to adapt, leading to a pivot to non-contact services where families could drive up and receive essentials delivered straight to their trunk. Despite the obstacles, we hosted our first virtual fundraiser and launched Curls & Coils classes online, continuing to provide meaningful support and education. Drive-through events became a cornerstone of connection, allowing us to stay engaged with our foster families while ensuring their safety and well-being.
With Love celebrated 10 years of serving foster families with a record-breaking year—fulfilling 1,231 requests for support and providing 1,499 clothing bundles to children in need. We reduced delivery wait times and deepened our commitment to fostering connection by enhancing our family events with intentional opportunities for families to build relationships. We welcomed our first executive director, an adoptee and former foster youth with 14 years of fostering experience, bringing invaluable insight and leadership to our growing team. Embracing technology, we streamlined processes to ensure even more efficient and impactful support for the families we serve.
“As a teacher I saw the need for supporting local children in foster care. I knew once kids were in school there were resources offered. However, what about those younger years, where kids grow so fast and need so many items. Who was serving them? That is how With Love was born out of my house. The purpose was to support kids who are under school age while creating an opportunity for the community to donate or volunteer.”

With Love
With Love was founded in 2013 as not just a promise, but a vow to children experiencing foster care, tiny souls caught in a whirlwind of change, often too young to voice their needs. A gap existed between foster families and their communities: a lack of resources available for children in foster care, especially those under school age kids who often receive less support from existing services. These little ones, with their wide eyes and small hands, were growing up without the essentials that every child deserves.
A simple gesture—diapers, clothes, cribs—like all things nurtured with love, has grown to serve an average of 110 children per month in 22+ counties throughout Oregon & SW Washington.
All united by a single mission: to wrap these precious children in the warmth of a caring community.
